1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HookLead (“Service”), operated by HookLead (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HookLead is a lead magnet platform that enables users to upload content (PDFs, documents), gate them behind email capture forms, deliver secure access links, and track engagement metrics. Features include A/B testing, lead scoring, email sequences, and integrations.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to HookLead. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver that content as part of the Service. You represent that you have the right to upload and distribute any content you submit.

You must not upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

5. Lead Data & Email Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws when collecting and using lead data, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data protection regulations. You must:

Only send emails to leads who have given consent through your gating forms
Include a working unsubscribe mechanism in all marketing emails
Honor unsubscribe requests promptly
Not sell or share lead data in violation of privacy regulations

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by HookLead and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

7. AppSumo Lifetime Deals

Lifetime deal codes purchased through AppSumo are subject to AppSumo's refund policy during the refund window. After that period, codes are non-refundable. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product — as long as HookLead operates the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except as required by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
